Brand Monitoring: Too much information? Don’t Get Lost!
Brand Monitoring continues looking for important mentions of products and services on the Web. However, we’ve recently started to wonder how convenient it is for you to process your found results—sometimes it’s so easy to get lost in the details.
Having read your feedback and reviewed some statistics, we identified some difficulties with new mentions processing. That’s why working principles with new mentions and the Brand Monitoring tool’s functionality have been revised: several handy filters have been added.
It’s now much easier to focus on new mentions! Let’s take a look.
Previously, users whose brand name consists of more than one word had to deal with the problem of irrelevant information when searching. Having received your feedback, we decided to embed an Exact Match filter.
Use this filter to see results that contain the word combinations you need. You can activate this filter in the tool’s set-up wizard when running your first campaign, or simply select it in filters.
Looking for something specific? For a more detailed search, use the Word Search filter. Select 'Search in domains' to look for brand mentions in domains, containing a specific word. The 'Search in mentions' function allows you to search article titles and snippets for your brand and a specific word. To see the combined results of two previous items, select 'Search In All'.
Sorting Out New Mentions
According to statistics, many of our users have a large number of unread mentions. This makes it difficult to figure out how many new results have recently appeared. Besides, the idea of having to read through a ton of mentions is enough to discourage even the most dedicated specialists.
The Mark All filter will solve such problems. Now, you can easily mark as “read” mentions that have been kept longer than a day, three days, a week or a month. You can also mark all mentions as read and reset the counter.
Need to look through mentions from a specific period of time? The Quick Filters will finally simplify your work. Here you can select a time period for which the new mentions will be shown: 24 hours, 3 days, last week, or for the whole time. The switch on the left will allow you to select the type of results for the required time period you want to view: all or only unread.
So here’s a great scenario: you come into work, run the service, click on 'Unread' followed by '24 hours' and BAM! You’ve got a list of the fresh results, received during 24 hours.
We’re improving our services according to your feedback, comments and suggestions, so keep them coming to email@example.com.
